Mr. Beke’s Car Crushed By A Tree

News filtering in from Port Harcourt is that a tree located in the old GRA yesterday fell on the car of a scribe of an All Progressive Congress APC. The scribe was later identified as Chief Emeka Bebe who incidentally is the secretary of the Rivers state chapter of the party.

It was reported that he was on his way to the party secretariat when the event occurred and he was said to be in the company of other party faithful at the time of the unfortunate incident.

The tree was described as a very large one but very old and might have just fallen down as a result of a weak root.

Meanwhile, the said APC chieftain along with other occupants was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for urgent medical attention as the situation at that time was tense and cloudy. There is no news of any casualty as the victims are still receiving medical attention.

Narrating the incident to a reporter, a passerby who witnessed the unfortunate incident said it was very surprising and sudden when the incident occurred. He claimed that nobody expected this to happen as cars were following one another along the busy Port Harcourt Club road section of the old GRA. The big tree just fell with a loud noise which startled everyone within the vicinity.

He, however, thank God for those who were spared the wrath of the tree as it could have fallen on any of the cars. Those who escape being hit by the tree should thank their God said the man.

Meanwhile, the state publicity secretary of the party Mr. Chris Fine bone confirmed the incident saying that though the occupants of the car have been rushed to the hospital, there is no news yet as per their condition including that of Mr. Beke.
