Oba of Benin Insists on Peaceful Election

The Oba of Benin Oba Omo N’ Oba Ewuare II has warned both major political parties in Edo state the People’s Democratic Party PDP as well as the all progressives congress APC to desist from turning Edo state into a war front ahead of the gubernatorial election in the state.

supporters of both the Governor Godwin Obaseki and Pastor Osagie Ize – Iyamu of the APC have therefore been cautioned to comport themselves peacefully in campaigns in the state.

“We were therefore surprised to hear later that there was an incident outside the palace, directly in front of Oredo Local Government Secretariat.
