Gov Okowa Rep & Late Elozino’s Mother

The governor of Delta state Ifeanyi Okowa has tried to wipe the tears and sorrows in the family of late Elozino Ogege the 300-level student of Mass Communication, Delta University, Abraka, Delta state who was murdered by ritual killers popularly called “Yahoo Plus”.

Okowa gave the mourning family the sum of N6m to help compensate and mitigate the loss of their beloved daughter who was brutally murdered on the 15th of November, 2018.

While presenting the financial assistance to the family, Gov Okowa vowed that the murderers would not escape justice assuring the family that every step would be taken to ensure that justice is done.

According to the governor “The sad incident tells us that all is not well in our society” the governor was represented by his Chief of Staff, David Edevbie who on behalf of the governor assures that measures would be put in place to safeguard the residents of Delta state and secure the future of its citizens.

According to him, the security challenges currently being face is being tackled headlong and soon the state would be rid of all criminal elements within it.

He described the unfortunate killing of the innocent university student as unfortunate and heartbreaking not only to the family but to the state as a whole.

Responding to the gesture, the deceased mother Mrs. Elizabeth Ogege and the Rev John Aruakpor the Bishop of Oleh, Anglican communion on behalf of the family thanked the Governor and the government of Delta state for their kind gesture and the compassion shown on the family.
