Amnesty Scholarship Benefiiaries
Rtd. Brigadier General Paul Boroh `the Special Adviser to the president on Niger Delta and coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme PAP revealed that over 350 Niger Delta ex-militants graduates from foreign universities have been offered employment by the Nigerian government.
This translates to less than 0.1% of the more than thirty thousand ex-agitators sponsored for various programmes of studies by the Amnesty office. Boroh made the startling revelations in the aftermath of the Niger Delta inter-ministerial committee presided over by the Vice-President Professor Yemi Osinbajo at state house, Abuja.
Barring his mind to state house correspondents Boroh said the chosen agitators have already been posted to the various ministries awaiting the approval of the 2018 appropriation bill from the National Assembly for them to be captured in the payment schedule.
According to Boroh ‘‘The Federal Government ensured that 350 of them are employed in the various ministries in the country. We are only waiting for the appropriation bill so that once they report to their various ministries they start earning their salaries.’’
Debunking the rumour making the rounds that some of the beneficiaries studying abroad have been abandoned by the amnesty office as their school fees and allowances have not been settled , Boroh vowed that he will never abandoned any of the ex-agitators studying abroad for any reasons.

According to him ’’I will never allow any of my children schooling outside the country on federal government scholarship to suffer. So as we speak 96% of those on offshore scholarship have graduated and returned home. Therefore I have only a few left in fact not less than 10,000 of them left in the entire globe. They have been schooling in the US, U k and other Asian countries and South Africa. They have all graduated and have come home’’
